I am a "Christian". I was an intentionally de-churched Christian who attended a non-denominational church on a regular basis for a few years. I chose not a "member" of the church, having experienced church "membership" and "commitment" that made me want to throw up. Side note: I think Jesus must truly be saddened by the state of the "Christian" church in the United States. Anyway, I wanted GOD not religion; I sought GOD's will - not a "church's" will. "Religion" and God are 2 very different things way too often in this spoiled self-centered American culture!!!

HA- then God decided that it was time to move me. He decided that he wanted me involved in a very special ministry - a prison ministry called Kairos. He took his ususal UNusual path with me, using a MiniMan Chef Boyardee; which actually concluded an 8 year journey that began with an Oompa Loompa Lady. God and I have a wonderfully unique relationship - can you tell? LOL! Anyway, not only did God place me in the middle of what would turn out to be a life-changing ministry, He also placed me in a spirit-led pentecostal church that I absolutely LOVE. This Roman-Catholic girl has certainly come a long way from her Catholic school/cradle catholic roots. What can I say except that following God is certainly NEVER boring!

I even find myself loving to tithe and looking forward to giving away even more. God has blessed me so much with good health, an awesome husband (and best friend and partner), 2 fun, interesting kids and many loved ones in family and friends. I am a very blessed lady and I love my God, my family, my country and my life.

And yes- I do think I can be honest and tell the truth and also joke around and God is okay with it. Anyone who doesn't think God has a sense of humor does NOT know Him!
